An outbreak of Legionnaires disease in Edinburgh 2012 is currently being probed by Crown service.

A HSE report on an outbreak of Legionnaires disease in Edinburgh that killed 4 people and hospitalised 45 others in 2012 is currently being studied by a dedicated health and safety unit at the Crown service. A total of 92 people were affected costing NHS Lothian £725,800.
